Seriously,

We have the three earthshaking developments and now it seems all is lost.

Is it again time to drop out, tune out and hunker down? Grassroots will never defeat corporations. Obama is bought and paid for. The Senate is useless. And we are at each others throats here.

Time to hull down and cover up. :(

I guess my semi-joking previous post was true. Game over.

2. the (Progressive) grassroots have been spit upon
now they dont even need to appear progressive to the grassrooters, they can just buy more ad time pushing wedge issues.

I predict 2010 & 12 will be "god, guns, and gays" like we've never seen before

3. You might be done; I'm not. And what three 'earthshaking'
developments do you speak of? The SC decision does indeed suck; what else? MA? We're still in the majority. HCR? Nothing has been determined yet.

Am I missing something?

Get Obama to resign?
We're stuck with him.
Give up?
Well there's always the states.
Leave the USA?
Can't afford to leave America, don't have a job.

13. Costa Rica
Truthfully, I've been planning it for years, so the recent happenings aren't the reason.

14. Nice! Good luck to you
Hubs and I are looking at Central America as well, possibly Panama, but we hear good things about Costa Rica too.

8. I was thinking impeachment
But that, as we all know, is off the table.

Kidding, of course, but let's see if any stinkers get hooked by this line. Hee, hee, hee.

9. Success means getting up one more than you fall down.
Dems need to get up and brush themselves off and move on.
Too many battles need to be fought to give up now.

10. Leaving the country
Forever and ever seems really appealing, and I've been headed in that direction for over a year now..

So... probably option 3.

12. My emigrating daydreams slowed down after Nov. '08
but now I'm finding myself with my head in the clouds, dreaming of France and other countries ...

Won't happen though. It's a pipedream. We have family here, elderly parents, etc. etc.
