If President Obama's next three years are as badly managed as his first

we are in HUGE trouble.

We've been manhandled by the Republicans, stonewalled, blocked, whatever adjective you'd like to use, while governing by consensus has failed MISERABLY. I cannot tell you how concerned I am over our chances of keeping any kind of a majority in the House and Senate in 2012, and that the Pukes could possibly run a stuffed tomato as their candidate and win because of anger and apathy over how the Country is being run.


That's it for me today. With this decision by the Supreme Court, I am more depressed than ever.


If Obama had just once stopped by to read the pages of DU, MAYBE he'd understand what's really going on among his base, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. And by then it will be way too late.

3. I cannot tell you how upset I am, and even though that may not be a big deal

to many, I just see the Pukes grinning from ear to ear over the roadblocks and barriers they've created. It's as if Obama and his handlers are deaf and blind.

The current trajectory would, if extrapolated, have him impeached in 2011 by the huge new pug majorities in Congress

4. It could get a lot worse

Republicans could retake all of Congress this year.

Obama better understand soon that the republicans will not play ball with him, they will filibuster everything unless it is so compromised that it may as well be called a right wing republican bill rather than a Democratic one. Nothing Obama wants will be passed with these republicans in congress. NOTHING.

Obama has to play hard ball and do the nuclear option, and then no longer will it require a super majority to pass stuff. Its time to act like A FDR and have guts and courage and use his power as the president to roll over the republicans in Congress.

It sounds crazy but then you start listing the "safe" seats...

Is Patty Murray safe? Is Feingold really safe? Is Barbara Boxer even really safe?

At lot of safe seats are safe because they are perceived as safe, so no resources are alloted for a challenger.

After Tuesday the pug idea of which of our seats are not worth challenging has probably changed.

If a seat looks winnable then you recruit a viable candidate and pour in money and suddenly the situation isn't the same.

Probably a bad idea to do health care in the first year when you're still learning the ropes / getting a reality check.

9. I keep hoping for the day that Thomas and Scalia are packed away

to the funny farm, and we get to name their replacements.

It's been obvious for years that they've lost touch with reality (assuming they ever had such) - any time now one of them is going to start rolling ball bearings in his hand, mumbling to himself "it was the strawberries..."
