The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives filed a complaint against an ex-Marine after a grenade launcher was discovered at his residence in Marlow.

ATF Agent Brett Williams wrote in an affidavit that deputies found a Colt M-203, 40-millimeter grenade launcher Tuesday while they were arresting Charles Dyer on child rape and forcible sodomy charges.

The affidavit says authorities determined the item was one of three grenade launchers that were stolen from Fort Irwin, Calif., in 2006 as they were being shipped to Iraq.

Williams says Dyer told an FBI agent a friend gave him the device while Dyer was stationed in California with the Marine Corps.

A Stephens County jailer says Dyer was transferred to federal custody on Friday, and it wasn't known if he had an attorney.
