Democrats will be doomed if they give up on health care reform now
The Democrats have already paid the political price for health care reform. They have already taken the pounding from the heath industries machine. If they let one election stop them now they will be getting the worst of both worlds. Not only will the GOP be able to attack us with their lies about health care they will be able to make us look week. The health care industries success will only embolden other special interest.

If I can make a football analogy it would be like getting stooped on forth and goal. The tide will change and it will be almost impossible to regain the national intuitive.

What the Democrats need to do now is buckle down and pass health care at all cost. Then they can move on to more popular issues like bank reform and other issues. But if you dont get a win now the 2008 election was for nothing.

1. After 8 months, how many more months should be spent on HCR?
How long until Americans are screaming, "How about working on some jobs for us!"

I'm not sure anymore exactly what the 2008 was for other than change we can count on whatever that might be.

3. The Mass election was the shot across the bow. If they force it, November will be horrific.
People DO NOT WANT this bullshit RW corporatist insurance company giveaway. If you think they have 'paid the price' for it, you are sadly mistaken. All that has happened is a warning.

5. I believe that today's SCOTUS ruling will doom Democrats regardless of the outcome of HCR.

7. If all of the 11 million members of the AFL-CIO gave $50 to their candidate of choice...
that would be 550 million dollars.

Sounds good, until you realize that JUST ExxonMobil makes that much net income in five days.
