CA Storms leave water officials hopeful
Storms leave water officials hopeful

SACRAMENTO, CA - Maurice Roos says he has been rejoicing this week during the series of storms in Northern California and the Sierra.

Roos is a hydrologist with the California Department of Water Resources, Division of Flood Management. Roos said that thanks to the series of storms, the Sierra snowpack has gained 6 inches, putting it slightly above average this time of season.

Roos appeared Live_Online Thursday and said, "If we can get two more weeks of this type of weather, we could get many of our reservoirs to normal levels."

Roos said having small breaks with no precipitation is good because the risk of flooding in some of the smaller creeks is reduced.

1. Turn on the sprinklers!
There would be no water problem without the lawn sprinklers in CA.

2. Cities and counties should stop issuing new construction permits until the supply problem is solved
But they won't.
