With Supreme Court decision, window for change will not only close but be bricked over in 2010
Democrats had a chance to make history with their stupid supermajority, and if they had racked up some real change like universal health care, breaking up and prosecuting the economic terrorists on Wall Street, or even coming clean about the drive to control the worlds remaining oil supply driving our foreign policy, those advances would have been hard for even the incoming wholly corporate owned government to roll back.

Instead, Democrats in Congress made excuse about procedures and rules and put corruption ahead of any obligation to their constituents.

They are no different from the GOP. They just mask their corruption with progressive platitudes instead of the GOP's religion and fear. Different lipstick, same pig.

The economy is the ONLY thing that matters to the American people.

8. they could have done health care and jobs if they didn't let blue dogs jam up the works
blue dogs are a minority, and all it would take is threatening to strip their chairmanships or release the photos of them fucking sheep to the public to keep them in line (it seems to work for the GOP).

10. It's those damned ions.
They've gotten themselves misaligned in the atmosphere again. Either that, or there's been a serious disturbance in the force.

Welcome to DU!

5. Hopefully the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
There are still some windows of opportunity to turn this around, however, I'm not holding my breath that the same dishrags that brought us to this will suddenly see those opportunities and take advantage of them.
