I recently found "Black May" in a used bookstore in New Orleans about how the allies whipped the German Sub Force in the Atlantic in 1943. Haven't read it yet.

I'm enjoying my communist health insurance provided to military retirees.

7. I've seen firsthand what happens when a neocon loses everything

...since where I live/work is >75% republican.Most of the industry is minimum wage/no benefit kind of work-but a heavy fundie/Christian base.As a Nurse,I can't tell you how many men with stay-at-home wives I've had become seriously ill-heart problems,cancer and diabetes being the major culprit...and-yes-I helped direct the wives to Government resources so they would have a roof over their head and food for the kids,as well as helping the patient apply for medicaid/SSI.While there was a glimmer of satisfaction in seeing them eat crow-pain is pain,and no one should endure the fear of having a place to stay or food for their kids.That's why,through my activism,I try to bring it down to the level of"What if you lost your source of income for several months?"They shut up pretty quick.We need to keep speaking out-it hurts,but education is the strongest weapon we have.
