I thought he was a big mensche for not taking the 12:00 slot. I like Jimmy Fallone or Fallon, and you could tell the guy was grateful that Conan was big enough to stop the domino effect.

"congratulate" you on spelling "loser" correctly!...I say this only half tongue in cheek because I've been seeing a lot of "loose" and "loosing" on this board lately!

16. With some words (like the examples you've given) it's

understandable, but with an every day word like "lose" or "loose"...It's hard to understand...Another one I've noticed, though not on DU, is "quite" for "quiet"...I don't know why people would have a problem with that and a few others -- all you have to do is sound them out!

No skin off my back over who hosts a show I don't watch anymore, but I saw O'Brien from time to time after Letterman left NBC, and the show was extremely unfunny.

I don't care who gets what and it irritates me that they act like this is a major story and we need them to get through the day. Conan always acts as if he is uncomfortable as though he didn't want to be there.

Yesterday,I saw a clip of a lot of Conan supporters outside NBC studios and I asked myself "FOR WHAT!" Who in the hell is he as I watched these silly ass people admiring him "FOR WHAT!!!"
