You have an ax to grind, sponsor an ad. Against Gay rights, spend millions telling everyone how evil being gay is. Want to clamp down on those uppity women who think they control their own vagina, run an ad after you get the signatures for a new proposition claiming ownership of ALL vagina telling everyone what whores they are and that women should relinquish all control to men.

The ramifications of this decision are frightening. And we are now powerless as voters, sorry, matcom is right, we are powerless.

2. Who owns the media?

Who Owns What at that link. It's frightening. And the media can now run political ads. NBC owned by GE can run negative ads against candidates who have an axe to grind against GE and their octopus of companies.

3. I don't see how churches can.
This wasn't about tax-exempt status. If a non-profit corp. required to be non-partisan for its tax status wants to run partisan ads, they can give up their tax exempt status and do so.

I'm not going to hold my breath.
