After years of Republicans whining about "activist judges" and "legislating from the bench"
it turns out they themselves are the activist judges, and they are the ones legislating from the bench. Does this decision kill their "activist judges" argument?

1. That's bad only when liberals do it.
Like everything else, it's never bad when conservatives do it.

11. They've always done it. They just "project" the action onto their opponent.

3. It's OK if you are a Republican
Republicans are hypocrites. Whatever they complain about the Democrats doing, you can bet that standard does not apply to themselves.

5. I guess with the appointment of Roberts and Alito we pretty much knew that
something like this was coming down the pike. This is painful to be sure and my hope is that Congress has something up their sleeve that will counter this (not holding my breath though).

6. "Activist Judges" only exist when conservative/reactionary laws
are overturned. See how that works? :eyes:
And yes, Sarah Palin is a fascist.

7. It's all just cheap shallow "politics" for them
They have shone over and over that they will say anything to get votes. Let see: lower taxes = borrow from china, abstinence = more pregnancy, right to life = lies for Iraq war, one man one woman = toe tapping in mens room. Theres lots more he he he.

9. Wow, Maybe Palin was right after all: Fascism does seem to be coming to America!
And it is wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. . .and it is carried on a silver plater by Republican elected Supreme court judges!
