Gotta give credit to someone else who mentioned Rollerball in another thread.

Today, the Supreme Court just put us on the road to making Rollerball into reality.

Hey! Isn't the Super Bowl in two weeks!

;-)

8. Same here. This is seriously bad for all,

but the FR peasants are just happier than pigs in shit about it.

Can they actually be so incompetent not to know that they'll be fucked right along side us?

2. I was thinking that, too. I watched it on TCM a couple of weeks ago...
and decided it was much more prescient movie than I remembered.

10. We already did that one too.
Tried explaining policy (or anything else) to a teabagger?

After a while you start hearing: "It's what plants crave.".

7. Rollerball ended up being the most prophetic look at the future...
of any of those '70s dystopian sci-fi movies. It is dead-on the world of today.

Now I guess we can look forward to Soylent Green coming true. Followed, naturally, by Silent Running.
