1. Actually, that depends - I was a PA State employee for years, and we can be fired

for engaging in any political activity other than voting and donating-quietly-to political causes. We could be fired for having a politically oriented bumper sticker on our car.
The elected officials, of course, can and do use state workers as a bad example and whipping boy whenever possible, including Mr. Rendell's denying COLA and wage increases to balance the budget.(He did the same as mayor of Philly.)
We had NO LEGAL RIGHT to criticize the pols.

Have to really be careful about giving them working people the idea they have "rights"-they might start thinking they are better than they are.
