Obituaries for 01-22-2010
Our American Democracy Born 1776 Died 01-21-2010

After a long illness our democracy finally died yesterday of acute corporate greed and cronyism.

There will be no services.

11. I'm afraid so...
I lost my faith in Robert Byrd's judgment when he voted for Alito...It was a sad day for me, because I thought a lot of Senator Byrd.

The senate needs to Impeach some people who lied in order to be confirmed.

Let's send the corporation's corporate boards and CEOs to fight the Taliban if they want to run the fucking show.

Edit...Let the corporations pay ALL our taxes if they want to steal our right to vote.

17. In a world where it was already hard to find anything much positive
Yesterday's betrayal of our freedom and liberty was a crushing blow.

America already numb from the setbacks since 2000, hardly felt or noticed the impact. A truly sad day. The MSM is as guilty as the SCOTUS.

22. oh, so funny
yeah, * he's the man. Now what's getting back to normal? Playing footsies with more Kenny Lay's or Abromoff's. Giving more corporations, like Halliburton some sweet deals, especially in Iraq--ya know that place where parts of my family are still fighting because of * and darth cheney's little lies. How about those secret Cheney oil meetings? Yeah the adults are in charge, while they virtually raped this country for their base. As * stood at the podium looking out over wealthy fatcats stated that "you are my base." How's that plane load of money that was shipped to Iraq, never to be seen again? I'm just jumping for joy from all of those decent jobs * provided--I especially loved when his administration called flipping burgers a manufacturing job. Then there were the little jokes. Can you tell me how many times after 9/11 he told his base he hit the trifecta? It's bad enough he couldn't be bothered to read a PDB report in August, ya know since he was on vacation--but the least they could have done is alert the airports. And, I love the little swagger. with his widdle bullhorn on top of the rubble-what a PR image. Wow and that strutting on the deck "mission accomplished" just gave me the warm fuzzies, cause he's like my daddy and he's protecting me.

The damage the GOP has done to this country, the constitution, the wars, corporate carte blanche at our expense, the deteriorating of our infrastructure, the deregulation of Wall Street at our expense--it would be a cold day in HELL before I'd ever vote for a corporate owned fascist party.

19. Drama Queens born 1-21-10
The American Democracy lived 1776 to whenever these acts were passed and can still live and still pass laws that will help with this problem.
