Congress is not going to pass any law, this ruling will see fit that PAC's are created that push for their election and re-elections. Congress has hit the jackpot, they are going to reap millions of dollars worth of publicity and support. It also gave them cover from having to do anything for "we the people".

Even IF Congress, or members of, were against this, they refuse to pass laws when they are in charge and have a strong majority, do you really think that now they are going to get a spine or do something Statesman-like.

Some even suggest that we could change the Constitution? seriously? Last I remember it took the votes of 2/3 of the Congress to get that done. How the holy hell are we supposed to get 2/3 behind an action that many are not against. We cant get 50+1 to do anything, much less a super-majority.

is to 'limit' the effect of the ruling. Lucky if we can get that done. I doubt if it can be much.

2/3 of congress but then needs to be ratified by 3/4 of the state legislatures, they have a set time frame for that, I think it is 7 years.. But hell they couldn't even get an amendment passed granting equal rights to women.


There is no way in hell they will cut of this much cash.. not gonna happen, we are totally screwed as a republic, we are now a corporate entity with a government that will be truly bought and paid for by big business.

I fail to see how we can get ANY "elective" body to correct this, as there are no more "elected" bodies TO correct this. They are ALL legal legislative prostitutes now.

The pols who really are PUBLIC servants are already few and far between. Not many will be in office for long. They will be replaced by performance artists/whores who will dance for the ones who get them in office.
