Wow, perception is everything....look at this poll from local paper re: MA election

Thursday's poll results: What's the lesson of the Massachusetts Senate election?

Democrats are in so much trouble that they'll lose both houses of Congress in the fall: 53.9 percent

Democrats face serious challenges, but the fall results can't be predicted on the basis of this race: 31.4 percent

It was a singular event: a very strong, moderate Republican against an inept Democrat: 14.2 percent

What election? 0.5 percent

4. No Hope: Filibuster
New banking regulations have to pass the Congress. With 41 firm votes now, the Republicans in the Senate can stop everything they don't like. This is called "tyranny of the minority."

And though Harry Reid could invoke the so-called 'nuclear option' to end the perverse abuse of the filibuster by the obstructionist reactionary Republicans -- he won't.

Sadly the American concept of majority rule is dead in the "world's greatest deliberative body."

There is no hope, therefore, for anything that Pres. Obama proposes ... thanks to feckless Democrats in the U.S. Senate.
