because they'll want to protect their right to privacy from nosy Congressmen that want to investigate them and what not..

It also begs the question: Does a corporation have "a right to choose"?

1. Does "right to choose" in this case...
mean that they have the right to fire someone before they are even an employee?

Will the right wing leap to their defense claiming that they were an employee from the momement you took the aplication? Will they fight over whether it's the application or the interview that makes them legally an employee?

"You should have thought of that before you put the help-wanted ad in the paper"

2. Maybe it means the right to decide not to spin off a subsidiary that's in the planning stage?
