So... If money is speech, how is it that the levying of taxes does not violate the First Amendment?

3. If money is speech, used to express an opinion

which is what my rightwing friends have always maintained, then so is murder, theft and every other means people use to express how they feel. Eg, if money says you support a certain candidate, how about bumping off the guy you do not support? Because that's what those with no money to express themselves with, are left with.
