Failed Bank Information - Information for Premier American Bank, Miami, FL

On Friday, January 22, 2010, Premier American Bank, Miami, FL was closed by The State of Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was named Receiver. No advance notice is given to the public when a financial institution is closed.

The FDIC estimates that the cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) will be $85 million.
