The dawning of the age of "Rollerball"
Corporations will decide all aspects of your life.

I first saw Rollerball back in the 70s on HBO (and hence, watched it 20 times). I recently bought the DVD and except for some cheesy props the movie is very well done.

Unfortunately, it's also prophetic.

I think the tactic will be to run corporate sponsored independents to sap votes away from a progressive much like Nader in 2000. They will rule us and all the best intentions of voting for the best candidate will be moot in the confusion.

I wonder if video production companies are seeing a rise in the contracts for issue ads. It might be the only growth industry of 20-teens.

5. You're assuming the public is stupid.
Common mistake. It's why "we" get called elitist a lot.

Why do you think corporate sponsored independents would gain any traction?

3. Not sure I buy the notion that Nader was corporate sponsored
But yes, a sadly prophetic movie.
