Anti-War-- Still My Priority

Before the Presidential election, I would tell people that "peace" was my priority. Ahead of any other issue that came up. It still is.

I love Obama and don't envy him his job. Certainly he inherited the mess in the Middle East. He's done a lot to smooth the various conflicts. And certainly, McCain/Palin would have been more militaristic.

People should understand that so many of the issues that we care about--employment, education, infrastructure, health care, etc. are money issues that could be funded with what we spend on making war.

We must get ourselves out of the escalating military situation. In my opinion, our involvement is making the world less safe for us and causing more people in the world to see us as warmongers.

peace is definitely a priority, and peacetime use of troops for relief efforts is something i support.

i vastly prefer what our armed forces are doing in Haiti relief efforts to deploying them in the middle east.
