Edited on Sun Jan-24-10 10:44 AM by francolettieri
I think the Democratic party needs to do a better job of weeding out the weakest members/biggest liability of the party by asking or forcing those particular candidates to not run for re-election/step aside. Chris Dodd is already not running, so thats a start. Who else should join that category?? Maybe Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid?? In fact why not go further than asking them not to run, just find away to replace weak democrats in the middle of their term with stronger ones, to keep the pack strong!!

But yeah, there's a pretty short list of national Democratic "leaders" who are real Democrats in the way I understood what a Democrat was when I was growing up in the olden days...of real Democrats.

2. Evan Bayh, Max Baucus, Ben Nelson.
I could find some more but those come to mind.
I wish I could say Lieberman but he is a so called independent.
And Chris was my senator for years but hopefully we get an even better one with Blumenthal.

6. But I think the question was who can we weed out not to run again, Rahm is not up for reelection
for anything. Unless you want to vote out Obama in 2012.

5. Harry Reid
... to some extent Nancy Pelosi. Wingers hate the hell out of her but I can't figure out why - she's hardly the most liberal person running around DC.

Personally, I have no use for either Reid or Pelosi.

9. Start with the blue dogs AND ADD
that Rahm will never ever pick a person to run for congress again. These scum are his...Nelson and Lincoln (altho blue dirty dogs) wouldn't be his but the rest are.
