This "Game Change" book not only changed our thoughts about politicos but changed the authors themselves. Mark Halperin previously felt lucky to have a desk. Now he has an assistant. And international deals. And a voice in HBO's casting of the story. So many pols wanted to talk, to divorce themselves from whatever's going down, to appear really smarter than anyone else, that three times the people quoted were actually eager to talk. The authors are telling complete truth as was told them. However, whether these big-mouths who were quoted truly said what they told the authors they said, is up for grabs. I mean, who really knows, right?
