Obama's Approval Most Polarized for First-Year President
Not too surprising.

Overall, Obama averaged 57% job approval among all Americans from his inauguration to the end of his first full year on Jan. 19. He came into office seeking to unite the country, and his initial approval ratings ranked among the best for post-World War II presidents, including an average of 41% approval from Republicans in his first week in office. But he quickly lost most of his Republican support, with his approval rating among Republicans dropping below 30% in mid-February and below 20% in August. Throughout the year, his approval rating among Democrats exceeded 80%, and it showed little decline even as his overall approval rating fell from the mid-60s to roughly 50%.

3. I have been very critical of Obama but I still have a favorable approval rating of him.
Sometimes things have to be kept in perspective. Compared to ANY Republican he is on top by huge margins. Compared to my hopes and desires for his accomplishments, I am disappointed in him..Will I vote for him again in 2012, most definitely by what I know today. Things can always change though..I still have hope things will improve, they ALWAYS do under Democratic Administrations. ALWAYS.. Anyone can easily look at the historical records of how the US economy fairs under either Republican Administrations or Democratic Administrations and there is a very pronounced difference.. Will I keep on trying to hold Obama's and the Democrat's feet to the fire....in the words of America's leading intelect...."You Betcha".....My feeling now is "I've been down so Goddamn long, it looks like up to me"

6. The country has never been more polarized
And this was not Obama's doing.

The party of no would be the biggest contributor to the this divided nation.
