2. I'm still thinking - but that is not as outrageous as it sounds

Only a third of the Senate is up and these are the seats that were up in 2004. Just as 2002 led to mostly strong Democrats surviving and few new Democrats - making 2008 with Obama great. (There was already a lot of anger at ANY incumbents, but Senators like Kerry, Harkin, Durbin and Biden all were easily re-elected. To lose the Senate means Losing more than 8 (so Lieberman who I don't trust not to lose parties). (Nate Siver showed very little probabilty of that.)

In the House everyone is up and we have the bulk of the junior Congressmen because we won the last two times.
