Anti-litter Nazis?

"BRIGHTON (AP) — A white supremacist group in Colorado has a new enemy — litter.

The chapter of the National Socialist Movement, who also calls itself America's Nazi Party, is participating in a state Adopt-A-Highway program. The white supremacist group will be responsible for picking up trash along a 1-mile stretch of highway in a suburb north of Denver. A sign is already up in the area with the group's name on it.

A spokesman for the group, Lochbuie resident Neal Land, says the group is "doing good things."

State highway officials say they allowed the highway adoption because their lawyers said they could be in violation of the group's free speech if they issued a denial."



Wonder how long it will take for the local klan to follow suit. Ironic, as the local teabaggers have loudly insisted that such groups don't exist in this part of the country (never mind that supremacists have been visible at local bagger events).

12. Personally I don't care

what group they represent if they are ambitious enough to go out and pick up highway litter. It needs done. In my area of PA litter is a disaster that needs fixing. I'm all in favor of requiring these corporate welfare sucking CEOs who collect millions for doing nothing as well as others who do the same to put their efforts forth to cleaning up our roadways.
