It makes no sense to take a wait-and-see attitude when someone is asking you for your input.

At this point the WH is forced to do something like what was put out there (would look too weak otherwise) but the details are not set.

Bitching is correct. Bitching is the only power we have (albeit tiny) to let the WH know that this is really not okay.

And if everyone on the net pitches an epic fit then maybe they will pull back a little.

So please don't anyone say that bitching about this hurts the President. Bitching is a process of trying to save the President (and everyone else) from a seriously F'd up policy.
