1. If the stimulus went to the people and not the man |
|
I'd vote for the stimulus.

We spent a trillion dollars and have nothing to show for it. No way another stimulus gets support.
People who demand stimulus based on Keynesian theory seem to miss how he said stimulus should be paid for... by savings during boom times, NOT by accumulations of debt.
This financial crisis is rooted in an extreme excess of debt. Taking on more debt to try and spend our way out of it is like trying to cure alcoholism with whiskey.

Another stimulus would be much better.
We need a stimulus that benefits the PEOPLE.. not corporations. I'm not holding my breath, though.

6. If the president doesn't pass a second stimulus package, he's done. |
|
It's as if he is only listening to people who want to see him fail. And he doesn't get it.
If we do not get a second stim package passed and in effect by mid summer, we are going to take a beating in November.
He's listening to all the advice that will guarantee the GOP success in the fall. Will someone close to the president please give him a wake up call?

1. eliminate the bush-reagan tax cuts for the wealthy. (That's 51% of the deficit according to the CBO)
2. implement real stimulus; fuck the banksters; fuck the republican trickle-down tax credit bullshit
3. get us the hell out of occupying foreign countries and cut the "defense" budget by 75% (another 40% of the deficit)
Instead, Obama takes the reagan approach and freezes spending on all those damned social programs and "welfare queens" (<6% of the deficit) :puke:
