Modern American Political Discourse
Picture this:

Transportation is finally recognized as a major contributor to global environmental imbalances and problems. The debate is framed with industrialists at the throats of environmentalists. The Communications Industry steps up and and a great National Debate will be aired and the question of how we are to proceed will be decided. And who would our media bring to the table to represent the great interests from each side?

In today's climate they would put Ford at one end of the table and Chevrolet at the other.
