Barack Herbert Hoover Obama?
Jackie Calmes: Obama to Propose Freeze on Some Spending to Trim Deficit: President Obama will call for a three-year freeze in spending on many domestic programs, and for increases no greater than inflation after that, an initiative intended to signal his seriousness about cutting the budget deficit, administration officials said Monday.

The officials said the proposal would be a major component both of Mr. Obama’s State of the Union address on Wednesday and of the budget he will send to Congress on Monday for the fiscal year that begins in October.

The freeze would cover the agencies and programs for which Congress allocates specific budgets each year, from air traffic control and farm subsidies to education, nutrition and national parks. ut it would exempt the budgets for the Pentagon.... The estimated $250 billion in savings over 10 years would be less than 3 percent of the roughly $9 trillion in additional debt the government is expected to accumulate over that time...

5. I don't want him compared to any president. Especially only after a year in office.
Wake me when Pres. Obama's policies cause the greatest economic disaster in world history. Then we'll start comparing him to Hoover.

6. There are lessons to be learned.
People make mistakes. Sometimes small ones, sometimes big ones. Generally, they learn from their mistakes. Primarily, they learn not to do the same things over again.

If a friend is getting ready to make the same mistake someone else made, we generally tell them, "Didn't you see what happened to X when he tried the same thing? You wanna end up like him?"

I guess some of us would rather not even think about that.

7. Well, its premature to call him Herbert Hoover
So far I have seen George. W. Obama and now Barack "Herbert Hoover" Obama.
Lets not get carried away, there is still time to turn this around.

does not stop ridiculing just about everything he does, simply because they think their way is the only way. All the details are not even out, and these people are already attacking the plan and not being willing to even show some support for our President.
President Obama as Hover? Well from my POV, this is what Progressives want-Obama as a one term Hover. And, just in time to assist the Republican party and upcoming elections.
