My idea to clean up this mess.....
Can't the States amend the Constitution to read that the PEOPLE have the right to impeach/fire any government official without the government's concent anytime they fail to keep their oath of office to defend and uphold the Constitution?
IMO there should be a special election just for that.

1. Not sure giving power like that to Teabaggers is the way to go.

4. It would have to be a majority of the people...
and I dont think there are a majority of the people that are tea-baggers.

6. Not enough people vote to begin with. Teabaggers would go to the polls,
making their voice disproportionately louder.

7. That just seems defeatist to me...
I guess I am not one to give up before I even try.
Anyways I believe that a lot of people dont vote because they dont believe there will be a change or that their vote will count.
I think that this idea would give the votes of the people some power to MAKE those changes happen.

Here is the FP concept of impeachment which fleshes out the Constitution.

2. Thats the biggest failing of the Founding Fathers
They didnt allow for a referendum to force a new vote when our politicians get out of line like Europe has.

3. Theoretically they could, but it won't ever happen because your idea of being able to recall...
gives much more authority to the public than those in power would ever want to concede.

8. Hoekstra has actually introduced a bill to do someting similar.
I may have spelled his name wrong.
His bill would allow citizens to create and vote on petitions and referendums to enact laws they disagree iwth.

He also introduced a bill to put NONE OF THE ABOVE ON BALLOTS.
( I like that idea)
In the event None of the Above got the most votes, there would be another election with new
candidates.
