Who is behind James O'Keefe?
Follow the trail...

James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles were/are both associated with the Leadership Institute:

http://www.campusreform.org/blog/the-leadership-institute-connection-to-james-okeefe
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/19/us/19sting.html

Hannah Giles' Father is associated with the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom/Young America's Foundation):

http://www.yaf.org/SpeakerDetails.aspx?id=277

Stan Dai is a member of the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom and its sister Organization, Young America's Foundation):

http://www.thephillipsfoundation.org/index.php?q=node/20

The YAF and the Leadership Institute work together:

http://www.campusreform.org/resources/programs-services/young-americans-for-freedom (scroll down and see who funds campusreform.org)

Who is behind the YAF? Richard Viguerie:

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Young_Americans_for_Freedom

Who is behind The Leadership Institute? Morton Blackwell:

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=The_Leadership_Institute

Sniff around the links I provided. Google the names. Note interesting ties such as Hannah Giles' being a graduate of Blackwell's http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=National_Journalism_Center">National Journalism Center.

While it's interesting to point fingers at BreitBart as O'Keefe's mentor, I think the pockets funding this little bastard are much deeper.

This is some next level shit.

And a second third rate burglary threatens to take down the GOP.

9. While I agree the tentacles are many
I think Breitbart is a peripheral influence. If you want to tie the RNC to the organization that trained and funded O'Keefe, look to the YAF & The Leadership Institute. IMHO, BreitBart was brought in later as O'Keefe's "backer" in order to deflect attention away from the YAF & The Leadership Institute.

17. O'Keefe and Basel both received grants from the Leadership Institute
Stunned by how little actual reporting was being done by the campus dailies, O'Keefe became the founding editor of The Centurion at Rutgers. Around the same time, frustrated conservative student Joe Basel started The Counterweight at the University of Minnesota-Morris. Both papers were started with assistance from the Leadership Institute "Balance in Media" grant, which is still available for students starting conservative and libertarian campus publications today.

Anti-abortion movement gets a new-media twist
Lila Rose, a UCLA student, goes undercover at Planned Parenthood clinics to pose as an underage girl pregnant by a 31-year-old. Her surreptitious videos go on YouTube, and inspire outrage.
April 26, 2009|Robin Abcarian

-snip

In fall 2006, when she was a UCLA freshman, she and fellow conservative activist James O'Keefe came up with the idea to infiltrate clinics.

Rose, by e-mail, and O'Keefe, in a phone interview, said they were inspired by the work of Mark Crutcher, a Texas antiabortion activist who in 2002 taped fake calls to hundreds of Planned Parenthood clinics around the country featuring women posing as pregnant minors.

They also found an unlikely source of inspiration: "Rules for Radicals," a handbook on grass-roots organizing by Saul Alinsky, a legendary left-wing activist who was an inspiration to President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Among Alinsky's most famous admonitions is one that O'Keefe said he and Rose took to heart: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."

O'Keefe, 24, said he and Rose have received criticism from some of their associates for using deception. "It's a pretty complicated ethical issue," he said, "but we believe there is a genocide and nobody cares, and you can use these tactics and it's justified."

This is the same kind of warped thinking that justifies the bombing of clinics, the murder of doctors, nurces, receptionists and off duty cops.

I'll bet the little prick also CLAIMS to be a christian, too.

ALWAYS plugging away at the real work of growing the cancerous party he supports. He's good at it. He makes good maneuvers and is constantly bringing people in. He's tireless and effective. And downright fucking genial and upfront about it, as I remember from his Daily Show interview.

Why doesn't the left have people like him? Is there a leftist group that parallels the Leadership Institute?

Did you check out his pimp get-up and his depiction? This screams amateur all the way. Even if it succeeded, to a degree, with ACORN (only because conservatives wanted to believe it) by appealing to the lowest-common denominator.

Even with his background, this screams to me, spoiled, coddled, rich twit, who's too lazy to do any research and who understands the underworld of pimps only from vague stereotypes, and did this to impress his dad. I can't see anybody putting one dime behind his undercover ventures. They're far too amateurish. If they want to get the goods on somebody, they would hire a pro.

57. Either is a stupid stunt or these people are just
f*cking idiots. Now, would anyone commit a felony trying to embarrass a sitting US Senator, and expect to get off? Are they getting off? Their excuse was they were going to have an "aha" moment with Landrieu's staff when they finally tell the staff that no one can call in. (That was part of the report on MSNBC "Hard Ball".

Unless the Department of INjustice decides not to pursue this issue and see who was behind these clowns, I hopefully expect them to get a fine, probation and some prison time. Especially the weasel ringleader. He looks like a real conservanazi dildo. I'm sure he'll be the pride and joy of goofyass beck and druggie limpballs. :hurts:
