I have something brief to say about the O'Keefe arrest
and it has nothing to do with his future cellmates or their predilections regarding sex.

I don't think ANYONE in the Reich-wing hierarchy was behind this dumbass' caper. I think he and his dopey Reich-wing friends dreamed this up thinking they could become heroes of the stupid (nutjob wingnut teabag) community and got caught because some intelligent person in Landrieu's office asked for ID and caught them. There are A LOT MORE SOPHISTICATED WAYS OF BUGGING HER OFFICE (or any one's for that matter) than this 70's 'job' they were trying to pull off.

I don't think there was anything more to it, and that's all I've got to say.

1. Even if that's "all" it is, that's cool. They're in trouble and I hope they get nailed. nt

2. I was thinking the same thing, but then I got to thinking about his
lawyers. He is being sued civilly in Federal Courty by ACORN, so he would have an attorney there. And we know that he has a white collar Federal criminal attorney for this case. Who is paying for this? A private attorney is going to want at least $20,000 up front on a case like his. And he'd have had to provide a retainer for the civil case. He certainly doesn't make that kind of money, and his daddy doesn't make that kind of money. So where is the money coming from?

5. IMO these idiots are clearly delusional about their level of intelligence and that
is why they were quickly apprehended. These guys are morons but they can't accurately assess their ability to pull something like this off because they are too bloody full of themselves. These sorts of jerks would never consider the possibility that that a "lowly" "dumb" receptionist might not be so easy to fool and have the smarts to call security which is probably what happened.
