Crickets..........
From the Republican side about the Pimp and his Plumbers? Why are they so silent? I suppose it's best they talk about these "young men" doing something very foolish but not for the Republican Party? They were acting "independently" but should not be sent to prison like "common criminals".

I am still waiting to see who the first Republican will be that will defend them? Perhaps we can monitor who visits these young men in jail? (They are in jail, aren't they?) We can follow the money. My guess is that there is a fund paid for by a list of Republican congressmen for little activities such as these?

1. They will attempt

to define it as a "prank," similar to college students attempting to cram into a phone booth in days gone by.

3. It wasn't a "prank" when ACORN was involved. Congressional defunding of this
organization was the result of such "prank".

4. if it was a Dem they'd be gathering wood and putting up stakes for a public burning
But the crickets AND the spin from the MSM is surreal -- they haven't *quite* made this to seem like a script for an Andy Hardy movie (oh that kid and his shenanigans!) but they WANT to - they most definitely want to whitewash the hell out of this.

If the Dems had a spine they SHOULD make a federal case out of this. But we won't.

5. They're waiting to figure out what the government knows.
Edited on Wed Jan-27-10 10:49 AM by TexasObserver
Once they're sure they know what the government knows, they'll concoct their various cover stories and use friendly media figures to spread them.

There will be the chuckling "frat prank gone bad" storyline.

There will be the "investigative journalism with a modern twist" storyline.

There will be the "they were on to something illegal being done by Landrieu, and wanted proof of it, and knew the Obama admin would just cover it up" storyline.

This was an effort to secure for the Louisiana GOP both federal prosecutors for the state, in spite of the fact that tradition calls for the prosecutors to be Democratic appointees who are nominated by the senior Democratic senator from the state. This was a power play by elements within the Louisiana GOP to hang onto the federal prosecutors for the state, so they could protect their own while misusing the federal prosecutors' offices to go after Democrats.

This was a crime that may reach into the offices of both GOP US attorneys from Louisiana and to US senator David Vitter.

7. FauxNews went literally the entire evening programming schedule without a single mention.
Disgusting. Even toolish Howard Kurtz was questioning their "integrity" for ignoring reality.

8. Too busy trying to find another Keynote Speaker for Salt Lake City GOP event.
He was the main attraction for this event.

They've since deleted his name from their page.
