I have noticed an ad for Fidel Castro T-shirts on DU. (http://www.topwebsite.biz/fidel1.html?gclid=CJPpmsbrhooCFRBtNAod8CWBRg)

What the hell is up with this? I don't want people to believe that because I am a member of DU that I somehow support Fidel Castro.

3. I totally agree with you. I'm in West Palm Beach and the plan is that

the exiles et al are going to have a HUGE party in Miami when Fidel passes away. City of Miami (with tax dollars) at least contributing to this disgusting display. No class, no sense. Free speech or not, it's just plain tacky and disgusting in my oppinion. What the hell do they think is going to happen after he dies? Like, things will change there? What if Chavez comes in to take over for Raul who's not looking too good these days either. The exiles "run" Miami, literally. I went for a job interview for the Miami Heat a few years back, aced the interview and just figured I'd look while there for an apartment on the Beach. When the interviewer realized I didn't speak Spanish, well, I'm still here in West Palm.

Yes, worse than ours (at least until 2002, that is). Fidel's locking up and disapprearing of dissents goes back 45 years and only occasionally slows down. I'd like to see those ads banned.

Refusing an ad that supports a brutal dicator makes a statement. I'm a Democrat because I'm a democrat. People who attack democracy attack me. I don't want a site I support (with my money as well as my time and good wishes) giving money to people who support or revere tyrants.

If the ads aren't yanked, I won't protest. I support, but I don't run this site. But given my preferences, I'd like to see us on the side of the angels consistently.
