3. my husband took our very old dog to the work...
he works at a dog daycare facility right near our vet's office. i'm hunkered down with the other two, but prepared to head up to drop off the dogs at the kennel if need be (they have generators) and stay in a hotel with my husband. he's got to be near work to care for all the doggies, and i know OU's going to be closed tomorrow, so i don't have to teach. i am, however, bored already and it's not even 8am. i hope we don't lose power.

9. I also work at a college
in the south. I don't teach, the students do however test me daily : ) Even though I live and work in the south, I am sooner born and sooner bred!! I do hope this storm isn't as bad as they are forecasting, we get hurricanes here and my motto is "prepare for the worst and hope for the best!!!" will be keeping you all in my thoughts!

4. It's Okla-Snice-Apallooza 2010!!!
I'm dreading this soooo much. At least my work is closed today, I was just getting ready to walk out the door when I got the email. That was about 715, and it was just beginning to rain (I live close to Penn Square).

Channel 9 just said they think the snow won't end until late tomorrow now, which I guess would be good, since it would cover the ice on the streets, but I still expect to lose power.

Hope everybody stays safe, warm, and dry the next few days.

7. Ohhhh, don't say that.
Last time I looked outside, it was raining but what had fallen before was frozen. So far we still have power. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

8. Amen to that! Oklahoma ice storms are the worst!
Been there, done that too many times. After the 2007 ice storm Skiatook looked like a war zone. People without power for almost a month. It was horrible.

Let's hope this one isn't as bad. Bundle up and hunker down! Stay safe out there.

11. Be safe, Okies
I remember some pretty amazing ice storms in my time in Oklahoma. Be safe, and when the world is coated in ice, take some pictures if you can :)
