My Favorite Part Of The Speech
The part that I liked the best was when he talked about how he had cut taxes for 95% of Americans, and that he hadn't RAISED taxes a single dime on ANYONE. I thought that was a huge slam-dunk moment for him (at least in my mind), because I've been sitting here for the last 6 months or so listening to right-wing mouth-breathers complain about how much their taxes have gone up this year. Some have even gone on TV and complained that they can't afford to buy this or that, or do this or that, specifically because their taxes have gone up so much. Every time I've run into one of these people, I always smirk, knowing that they're lying, but I never have anything I can use to prove it. It always upsets me because I know they're doing nothing more than taking perception and trying to make it reality through repetition. But the fact of the matter still remains, this Democrat-controlled government HASN'T RAISED TAXES A SINGLE DIME ON ANYONE. Now, how will the Republicans, who at campaign time, as predictable as the tides, roll out the old chestnut, "If you vote for the Democrat, he/she's gonna raise yer taxes!!!" respond to this damning refutation of their main talking point?

I also thought he scored big points when he chided the Republicans with zingers like, "That's how budgeting works," and, "There are those who choose to deny the OVERWHELMING scientific proof." And how could you not be charmed when he ad libbed, "I thought I'd get at least SOME applause with that one," causing even spray-on-tan Boner to clap for him?

Oh, and by the way, while I've had my problems with some of the things he's done during the first year, last night I actually sat up and said, "Now THAT'S the guy I voted for!" God help me, I still like him. And if he does everything he says he's going to do, he can regain the status I thought he was capable of attaining a year ago (and that is, the JFK of our generation).

3. I took note of words and phrases like, "executive order,"
and "saying no to everything is not leadership." Also, liked tax incentives for corporations that keep jobs here and taking them from those that ship jobs to other countries.

6. The only reason he doesn't have what ever status you're referring to is the media
and the pukes themselves. Its not because he isn't doing anything you're just not being told about it and when you are you're being lied to about it. Obama's fine and he'll be one of our greatest Presidents ever. hide and watch
