FREEPER BAIT on Yahoo: Why are republicans soft on Gypsies?

I posted this to see what they would say:

Why are republicans soft on Gypsies?

They have done a good job of scapegoating Mexicans, blacks, gays, and Muslims, but I can't remember an elected Republican or talk radio host EVER going after Gypsies.

Do we know if they are in the country legally? Is the accordian really an American musical instrument? Aren't they promoting evolution by dressing their monkey in human clothes and teaching them to dance for money?

And what kind of example is CHER for our children?

I wonder if they aren't turning a blind eye because they are closet Gypsy lovers.

I'll kill myself if I just gave them the issue to hold the White House and take back Congress in 2008, but otherwise,

6. I had a Mexican-Spanish-Jewish guy in class once

and remembered that business about the "secret Jews" who survived the Inquisition by being so secretive about being Jewish that in some cases they kept up the rituals in private but didn't know what they meant.

I was having my class do an assignment on propaganda, and read an excerpt on how to do it by Hitler.

This guy came up to me and said, "That Hitler had some good ideas."

I said that just because he knew what he was talking about on propaganda, didn't mean everything else he did was good.

He said, "yeah, but sometimes people need a strong leader."

And I said, "But you don't think that thing he did with the Jews was right do you?"

and he said, "Well, maybe...I don't know."

But the guy who agreed about the gypsies was from New York.

3. My Grandma used to tell me terrible stories about the Gypsies when I was a kid

...how they would come in to town and scam people at their shows, then rob people at night, etc.

I took it with a grain of salt, just as I did her stories about how "the nigras were better off under slavery because their masters took good care of them".

I'm sure there still is a great deal of residual bigotry against gypsies today.
