(snip)
Members of the public began to shout out when Mr Blair said he had no regrets but were asked to be quiet by the chairman.
One member of the audience shouted at him, "you're a liar", and a second added, "and a murderer".

Mr Blair said Lord Goldsmith's verdict that the war was legitimate was vital.
"If Peter
had said 'This would not be justified lawfully', we would have been unable to take action," he said.
"A lot hung on that decision. Therefore it was important that it was by the Attorney General and done in a way which we were satisfied was right and correct."

So, Bliar throws Goldsmith under the bus. Earlier this week Goldsmith, the attorney general at the time, said he changed his mind about the legality of the Iraq war after meeting with US officials and lawyers. (Condi's name came up btw) Prior to this time he thought the war was illegal, as did 27 other lawyers in the British government, and would require a second UN resolution, which never came. So, Bushco did a number on Goldsmith, and now the Poodle sayez he would never have gone without Goldsmith. Although a couple of months ago, he told the press he would have gone without the WMD and that Saddam had to go. "No regrets" Bliar needs to testify under oath somewhere. And soon.
