5 being very knowledgable and 1 not knowing crap.

I probably rank myself a 2 (not exactly my strong suit).

4. I have a degree in economics and I gave myself a 4 - who knows about the other 20%?
I might like to think I understand about 80% of it, but not all, not by a good bit. The 1 - 5 scale worked out just right for me.

6. 5. Only because I reject the notion that economics is some kind of natural science
Economics is just another branch of philosophy to me.

10. I like that.
Economics as a study seems to advance too many untested assumptions and filled with too many people who refuse to reconsider their theories even when presented with overwhelming evidence that they have failed for me to treat it as a hard science.

7. I understand theoretical economies a little
can't understand the actual one because all measurements are crap
and agreement about the facts is in short supply
and we've undermined that traditional economic cause and effects
