Update: Anti-gay religious group wants Twitter to 'serve god'

Westboro Church extremists descended on the region to tell us how much God hates, well, everything. The Bay Area responded with their own rallies. Here are a few photos of Thursday's counter-demonstrations at Lowell High School. anywhere, 100 people stand there and get in front of them with signs saying stuff like in these images along with "God Hates Westboro Baptist Church", "God Loves Everyone", "I'm with stupid" and stuff like that and pretty soon they'll stop doing this.

7. The Westboro folks are not a real cheery bunch

I've had the dubious privilege of encountering them on a couple of occasions. Their message boils down to "Be God's best friend or he'll kill you." Thanks, but I have enough psychos in my life as it is. The Gospel is supposed to be good news, but considering what these people preach, anyone would be forgiven for wondering what the bad news might be.
