My prediction for the 2010 elections
The Democrats could very well lose some seats, but these seats will mostly be Blue Dogs, New Democrats, etc. The caucus as a whole will be more liberal.

The teabaggers will win more Republican seats, but moderates in the GOP will be further kicked out and the GOP will continue to be extremist and fringe.

Overall, I'd say 2010 is a year where we can begin to wash our dirty laundry-kicking out conservaDems and Blue Dogs and slowly but steadily adding more liberals to the caucus.

1. I think that even if the Blue Dogs lose to a Republican, the Democratic Party is better off.
Better to deal with an elephant straight up rather than one pretending to be a donkey. Then work on getting a real Democrat elected.

4. that depends
If the Blue Dog is conservative on economic issues but pro-choice, for example, why would replacing him/her with a repub who is equally or more conservative on economic issues and anti-choice be a good thing?

3. My Predictions
We will lose seats In both the House and Senate but will keep control.Blue Dog Dems
from mccain districts will go down.We will pick up a few moderate seats from Obama
districts. We will lose Nevada,ND,Delaware, and Arkansas senate seats. We will keep Illinois
and New York.Colorado, and PA could go eather way.Remember Missouri,Ohio, and NH could
offset Nevada,ND,Delaware, and Arkansas losses. And If rubio wins the senate nomination
In Florida then the Florida Senate race may be worth watching again.

If things continue going the way the last couple of days have been I am more upbeat on
these Elections.

7. The huge amounts that the corporations will dump into the campaigns for
republicans could have the repigs gaining control of the senate and house.

10. You know, I have thought about this and my analogy is the
Sunsweet Pitted Prunes advertising budget. If they triple it I don't think prune consumption would go up much. Lipstick on a pig and all that.

9. I predict that 2010 is unpredictable after th recent SCOTUS ruling.
We have no way of knowing how all that money will impact races. But I see little good coming of it.

12. That depends entirely on whether the Dems throw us some populist red meat--
--between now and then. If we don't, the Repukes will fake it and gain a lot from it.

for the next twenty years.
