Just watched Obama and I am torn to shreds.
I can't grasp the idea that George W. Bush was president and now Obama is. It is too much for my small mind. When I think Bush was president, I don't have the mental margins to think Obama might be also. The worlds are too different. I flatter myself that I have a wide screen, but there is no aspect ratio in the universe that could show Bush and Obama on the same screen. But that is what is being asked.

The world is totally jerking my chain. Are you effing kidding me?

My nose is bleeding.

I'm torn to shreds.

1. Go to your liquor cabinet and get out a bottle and pour yourself a double
Toss it back then ponder that concept again.

If you still can't grasp it, repeat the process.

When you finally get your mind around it, it's time to stop drinking.

2. Haha. WE WON! Nah, we didn't really, considering all those

3. Yeah, that's pretty heady. Stop trippin' and
take deep breaths. Regaining our bearing and that can be intense coming back from years of an ongoing nightmare.

4. Apparently Chris Matthews was all shredded too tonight. He kept going on and on about
how our system of governing brings out the best leaders and the whole time I'm thinking that he must have amnesia for the period from '01 to '09.

I'm ecstatic at the smarts of our President. Now let's see the Republicans be the ones who are torn to shreds. Fuck the bipartisanship that will never occur unless it's in favor of the Republicans.

6. Poor Tweety can't help it.
For almost a whole eight years, he forgot Bush was incompetent and stupid.

5. I watched the SOTU on C-Span stream (tiny screen) and wish I hadn't because they didn't show
the Republicans that much. When they did it was remarkable. They were stony and pouting and nasty and stern looking, BUT BUT BUT - they seemed to be listening to every word and understanding it - not wincing, not sinking in their chair and providing play acting thrill the way they did with Bush.

They listened in pain and there was one composite look across all their faces - a face of disdain.

Those Congresspeople seem to have group hate, grour think, group disdaing. They are as one. I think some serious brain washing has gone on.

I will have to squeeze in some time to watch this event of today.

Sounds like they are still in physical, mental, and psychological PAIN.

7. in some ways too much is the same, to me
when I see Bush and Co being investigated for war crimes I might like Obama a little better.
