NSA = No Such Agency
Not only big telecoms but also ALL media appears to be influenced by the National Security Agency (NSA) especially news programs.
Most modern news sources are owned by large corporations. These corporate colossals are never content to own most of the radio stations in a market. They buy them all up, then set a premium prices on advertising, once there is no competition. Television is different, however, in many media markets the same company owns the city’s only TV station and newspaper. A couple of examples of these media giants are ClearChannel Radio and Times/Warner Communications.
In a supposed effort to combat terrorism, many large media consortiums fell into lock-step with the NSA guidelines, for patriotic reasons, like the telecoms did a few years ago. Those that refused soon discovered that the NSA had massive files on owners and news-directors, which contained either embarrassing information or evidence of criminal activity. In any case the NSA, which one insider says stands for No Such Agency, gained control over most news sources in the US.
In this War of Ideas a propaganda machine is mandatory. The NSA serves in this capacity, which is why we occasionally hear or read negative news on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other government agencies but nothing on the low-profile NSA since the telecom scandal.
The author of this article worked extensively in media. He also has clear ties to the intelligence community. Regrettably, sources for the preceding information cannot be revealed for obvious reasons.
