Remember the town hall in Montana last summer? I specifically remember a guy from Ekalaka, Montana, where my mother is from, getting to ask a question. He declared himself a proud NRA member and asked a really good question. I forget exactly what it was but I think it was about funding HCR. No way someone equivalent on our side ever got a shot like that against Bush or McCain! Their people probably would have spotted a bumper sticker on his car and not allowed him in.

got flumoxed over the first audience question on Palestine and also over why the gov't wasn't just cutting out the banking middlemen on making small business loans. His own base still does a pretty damned good job of tripping him up but the Republicans are not in his league.
