Woman to marry for healthcare: Seeks mate through YouTube

Is this what sick people must resort to in America? Though I give this woman credit for her ingenuity!

3. My friend remarried his wife when she was diagnosed with breast cancer
Edited on Sat Jan-30-10 02:34 AM by SoCalDem
They had been divorced about 6 months, and since he worked for the government, as an auditor, he had excellent benefits.

He said they were no longer in love, but she was the mother of his kids and the grandma of their grandkids. They stayed together for about 6 years, until he retired. She's been in remission for about 12 years now..

5. Good for him!
The 'knight in shining armor' often isn't some brash young dude, it's a middle-aged man who knows when he has the ability to help when it's truly needed, and steps up to the plate.

6. Along those lines . . . .
My friend is in a horrible marriage. Knew it was a mistake on the ride to the ceremony. His wife started their marriage by hurling heavy glass vases and knives at him while screaming at him. Some years have elapsed and she doesn't throw stuff anymore but she argues more than discusses. Get the picture?

He separated from her but stayed married to her for the health insurance.

Last year, he was diagnosed with two coronary arteries being 100% blocked and the third 99% blocked. He had emergency bypass surgery in the hospital where his wife works as a nurse. Total cost was half a million dollars without insurance. His cost between her insurance and having the surgery at her workplace was $50,000.

He doesn't regret the trade-off.

8. Sure, but I don't think she will go for
the pre-nup.
Thanks for that one Drifter.
