I am getting my Keif and Rachel back! Yippee!
For those unaware, MSNBC is not carried on Verizon Fios television in northern New Jersey or in any areas of New York City serviced by Cablevision. For some strange reason MSNBC signed a contract with Cablevision way back when agreeing in return for Cablevision carrying the channel that Cablevision would be the exclusive broadband carrier of that station in those areas.

So when I switched from Cablevision to Verizon Fios a few years ago I was surprised to find I could no longer watch MSNBC and I miss Keith and Rachel. I can hardly watch CNN and certainly not Fox so yesterday when I got a message from Fios that MSNBC was coming to FIOS Feb 2 I almost did a back flip.

Hoooray!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :fistbump: :fistbump:

7. My mother didn't find out till she had FIOS installed.
When she realized it meant no more Keith, she had them rip it out and went back to Direct TV.

9. I almost did that too
The only option for me was to go back to Cablevision and I refused to do that based on the shoddy treatment I received from them over the years.

That's loyalty.

10. Even in a tiny state like NJ there are differences
In south NJ, covered by Comcast on cable they get MSNBC on Fios but in north NJ serviced by Cablevision for cable we don't (until Feb 2).

Although I'm hearing that undoubtedly from members of the choir.

11. This is exactly one of the reasons Faux Noise ratings are higher than MSNBC.
I have Comcast cable. Only way I could get MSNBC was to upgrade to their digital tier. Their basic package does not include MSNBC, but does include Faux. NBC obviously cut some stupid deals with the cable companies when it came to MSNBC. So many places just can't get it.

13. Just a little thought
At the Health Clinic where I go to the doctor we have a television and it can be controlled by the people waiting. Well lots of time when you go in Fox in on, or one of the other news cables. I can't reach it, but it seems like when ever someone comes in and Fox is on some tall guy goes over and switches the channel. We little people just look at each other and smile.
