Bad news, it is for a major defense contractor. Good news, it is with the division that is working on technologies that will likely be applied to high-speed rail.

Bad news, it is temporary, good news, there is a chance it could go permanent.

I have a third interview coming up next week with another company--this one is also a done deal; it's just the formality interview. So after months of nothing, nothing, nothing now I will have to choose.

I was unemployed for 11 months -- a situation that ended last September. The new job pays a lot less than I was making previously -- but a lot more than unemployment benefits.
