13. Didn't Boehner say it was more extensive than that?
If they had something really fleshed out they should use that as their prop instead of a 9 page package of solutions. This hurts them if anyone in the media points it out.

Of course, FOX reported that it was a thick package. Good thing they aren't trying to describe what they have between their legs.

28. Here:
*snip*

Colbert: "My friends, last night our Alternate Universe White President connected with the average American with compelling personal stories."

McDonnell: My dad told me, "Son. If you want a good job, you need a good education. Dad was right."

Colbert: That was such a good story. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad said "Son." Dad was right. I was his son. But it wasn't all gripping yarns folks. White president McDonnell provided concrete solutions for America's problems."

McDonnell: ...and our solutions aren't thousand page bills that no one has fully read. In fact, many of our proposals are available online. At solutions.gop.gov.

Colbert: Now like many of you. I raced to solutions.gop.gov and I downloaded the GOP solutions to all of America's problems. here it is, just 19 pages. Well actually this is a cover page so that doesn't count. And this is the table of contents so this doesn't count. And half of this is actually what the Democrats' plan is so that doesn't count. And for some reason, the last page is blank. So the complete GOP guide to saving the American economy, reforming healthcare, creating energy independence and keeping the nation safe from terrorists is 9 pages. But folks, it is packed with information along with stock photography and the kinds of generous margins usually reserved for 8th grade term papers. And, my fellow Americans, despite the stereotype of Republicans as scrooges, it has some compassionate solutions for the unemployed. For example, the Republican plan would extend federal unemployment benefits through December 2009. Merry Christmas!

9. The way he framed a question
about Obama and one term versus two terms.
Not bad so far although he was way too easy on Boehner but then we know he dances with Rove.

7. Now we know the talking point for the week:
"Big government take over of health care"

Of course, we've heard that one before. Guess the R's didn't learn anything in Baltimore.

21. It was a thing of
'brutey'. I loved Boehner saying they wouldn't be walking away from their principles as if they are still in charge of either the executive or legislative branches.

RETHUGS just don't get it.

22. Well, some people are already talking about Brown
like he's their next "great white hope". Why don't they rally around him to help save their party? Hey, after all, he won Ted Kennedy's Senate seat in a low-turnout special election against a Democratic candidate who -when all is said and done- really didn't run a very good campaign. That MUST mean that he's destined for the WH just like Barack Obama was.
:eyes: :sarcasm:

24. How soon the viewing public gives him a pass
I find it very disappointing that MTP gives Gregory, who only graduated high school when Reagan left office, and has no life experience that would qualify him for that seat (not that Timmeh did either) a platform to voice his young republicans mantra. To me he seems more like a student of Rove than a journalist. A total sellout.
