I need a good book reference for my book group. I was going to recommend
Ralph Nader's new book but it is too long. Do any DUers have any suggestions. I was also thinking about a non-fiction like Naomi Klein's book Shock Doctrine.
Any suggestions?

1. I have been rec'ing Chris Hedges' book EMPIRE OF ILLUSION lately
It is not that long (193 pages), but it is visciously fascinating and challenging, and I would even say visionary.

2. Shock Doctrine is great but if you want something that's a bit more uplifting:
