1. If I were there, I'd ask them what the DOW was at when
Bushit left office. Let them answer that one.

4. Yeah, it's still improved markedly since the end of the Reign of Error
But let's face it, these traitors want America to fail rather than succeed on any terms but their own demented ones.

38. What I mean is they don't have them but they bitch and moan as if they did.
Most of these freeper teabag a-holes are not invested anywhere. They act, however, as if the government is going to take the money they don't have. They rant and rave against the "death tax" when most of us will never face the tax man when our relatives die. It is all part of their game.
I wish there was an emoticon for my original comment. I wasn't exactly being sarcastic. I guess it was more of a hypocritical post.

military misadventure which means in the modern world that the corporations would rule by default and unchecked.

Eliminate or weaken the government and the corporations will take over. (If they haven't already.) I'm just not sure all of the Freepers truly realize whose flag they are flying.

31. They want Obama to fail at all costs...
One of the reasons why is that they have nothing to lose.
They aren't invested in the the success of this country.
They hope for disasters. Their guy failed at everything
and they are responsible for supporting that crap for eight
long years. When it was over they were left with nothing
but more debt. Some have even lost their jobs. It would
kill them to see Obama pull us out of the muck and get
this country back on track.

to the bigots on freerepublic.com that markets fell all across the globe due to worries about economies in Spain, Greece and Eastern Europe. Hardly due to anything our president has done.

21. Like it matters.
The President has VERY little impact on what the Dow Jones does on any given day. Sure, major world events cause it to fluctuate, but using the Dow as an indicator of a dying or improving economy is nothing short of stupid.

The Freepers have no basis to rejoice when the Dow falls, but we have very little cause to rejoice when it (inevitably) rebounds.

12. They expected Obama to fix all the BushCo damage before he even took office.

Shit-for-Brains was the worst President ever. Obama said it would take a while
to fix the train wreck he inherited from the corrupt and evil BushCo Regime.
Asshole had eight years to fuggup this country. The damage he created may take
generations to repair completely.

What do they need to “look at?” Obama’s mother was an American therefore it is not in dispute: he is a natural-born citizen. This whole crusade has made conservatives look silly.

26. These guys think they are logical and that liberals are stupid. Of course
the fact that they represent maybe 10% of the voters does not register with them - the election in '08 was "mass hypnosis" and a fraud because their wonderful ideas lost. They think McCain is a Liberal Democrat, and that Obama is controlled by international communists/satanists/ you name it.

They are waiting for the collapse of the US society so that they can emerge and take over, and make the USA good again, although how this is to be accomplished is vague.

Some of these people are disturbed and some are way way beyond that, and some are using the rest for whatever they can get out of it all.

28. Obama and the markets
Check out the video titled "Obama and the Markets."

What's interesting is that Obama's disapproval rating tracks
alongside the dow. The higher the discontent, the higher the
stock market. I would think it would be the opposite.

40. I've been expecting the DOW to fall below 10K the first quarter.
I don't think it will fall below 9K, and I believe it will be consistently above 10K by July, probably sooner.

In my view, the key determinant for this year is jobs. If we don't get more people working by September, we're in deep, deep trouble in November as a party. We need a big push for JOBS right now. Spend whatever it takes.
